Keeping faith There is a story in the Bible in 2 Kings 6:1-23 . The story starts with the miracle of the floating axe head and proceeds to talk about the involvement of Elisha in the battle between Israel and Aram . Some of you may be wondering which country Aram is. Syria today was called Aram back then, so these battles between Syria and Israel started a long time ago. Back then, men of God, especially prophets, were involved in wars. Verses 8 to 13 talk about how Elisha was involved in the war. Whenever the king of Aram (Syria) made a plan or set a trap to attack Israel, Elisha would know about it and warn the king of Israel about the plans. A man thinking about the altars It is another beautiful day that the Lord has made, and we will be glad and rejoice in it by sharing with each other what the Spirit wants us to hear today ( Psalm 118:24 ). I went to church last Sunday, and in the middle of the service, I was led by the spiriri to open and read the book of Chronicles. When I opened my Bible, I was led to 2 Chronicles 34 , which talks about Josiah’s Reforms , and it fascinated me. The chapter talks about how Josiah became king at the age of 8 years old and reigned for 31 years. The Bible records that Josiah did what was pleasing to God; he did not turn aside to the left or to the right (2 Chronicles 34:1-2). It is clear that there is no age limit as to when or how you can serve God. There is no age limit as to when you can experience the favour of the Lord and become successful at whatever you do in Christ (1 Timothy 4:12). Jesus's hand for help Hi, how are you today? If you are reading this, there is a good chance that this article is about you. My prayer is that God heals you or gives you that eternal peace in Christ Jesus. You may ask, why have you started writing this article with a prayer? It is because I am writing this for both of us. What do I mean? Well, have you ever been in a situation where you continuously question your own capabilities, competence, knowledge, or skills? You speak to yourself saying, "No, I can’t do that now; I have got to learn first." And the longer it takes for you to acquire the knowledge, the lower the passion or desire to pursue what you have been asked to do or dream for becomes.
